found poem: to dream, perchance to eat

Playing for a Stanley Cup is
the chance of a lifetime,
and I don’t want to look that far ahead.

I’m trying to take this
one step
at
a
time.

But:
if we’re fortunate enough to win that thing,
I hope to be able to take it back
to my hometown of
Lively, Ontario
and get a chance
to eat
out of that beautiful trophy.
