All Whet: Working on their skates in a corner of Chicago Stadium in January of 1940, that’s Doug Bentley and George Allen of the Black Hawks with equipment man Jack Langle attending. Bentley died of cancer in Saskatoon’s St. Paul’s Hospital on a Friday of this date in 1972, at the age of 56.
